The salon industry is undergoing unprecedented upheaval and change is happening faster than most people either realize or are ready to acknowledge. The rise of the smartphone enables booking appointments, charging for services and hair products, and essentially managing an entire business for very little cost.
If there was any salon profit, it came from retail sales, which are now under at least as much pressure as service revenues. Every professional retail line is for sale on Amazon with free delivery, and half of them are selling their styling products directly to Amazon. Consumers are still buying the first bottle in salon based on their hairdresser’s recommendation, but they are replenishing online. It’s a massive change in consumer behavior. These days, with a tap and a click, you can have a box of goodies delivered to your door, whether that means shampoo and conditioner, hair treatments and masks, dry shampoo and other essential hair care products to pamper those strands.

How do you keep your hair healthy?
We all want to know how to prevent split ends and damaged hair. While there is a lot that can contribute to the health of your hair (diet, environmental factors, hair type, etc) there is one thing we know for sure. If you wash your hair with shampoo, you are essentially washing it with chemicals and detergents that strip your hair of it's natural oils and can lead to a dry scalp, frizz, and brittle hair. Try cleansing your hair with New Wash - a moisturizing formula made of naturally derived ingredients like argan oil that will retain your hairs natural strength and shine.
What is a good hair routine?
The beauty of using New Wash is that your hair care routine can be so simple yet all you need. The key is in the washing technique. Distribute New Wash evenly through wet hair and massage thoroughly (Pro tip: use our scalp brush to activate the hair follicles). Rinse really, really, REALLY well. Your fingers should glide through wet hair without using conditioner. If you feel your hair needs more love, just repeat. You can't overuse New Wash.
