Our Mission:
Rethink everything about hair...

1. By creating healthier, more sustainable hair care products that respect the environment and your hair's ecosystem and

2. By changing the way hair products are sold and empowering hairdressers to participate in e-commerce and profit from their influence.

How we are different:

We are the most progressive, unconventional hair care brand out there.

Everything about us is different: we care about the planet; our products clean without detergent; our hairdressers sell without inventory; and our goal as a business is to be self-sustaining versus taking over the world.

ABOUT HAIRSTORY

At Hairstory, we’re rethinking everything about hair, from how people wash and care for their hair to how hairdressers retail to their clients. And we are redefining what it means to be a truly sustainable business in the context of an ever-changing political, social and economic environment.

We believe shampoo is the enemy of good hair, and our core product, New Wash, cleans hair without any detergent. Our products generate incredible loyalty, and about half our sales are subscriptions. We are approaching 400,000 people who have already switched to New Wash, and our revenue is growing at ~65%. We raised money at our founding in 2015 and have been self-funding ever since. Recently, we closed a growth equity financing with Summit Partners.

We have been an environmentally conscious company from day one – with clean ingredients and regular donations to environmental organizations. We’ve also transitioned away from plastic bottles and are soon to become the first beauty company to switch entirely to recyclable refill pouches, saving over 87% of plastic consumption.

We’re looking for nimble problem solvers who are passionate, positive and interested in making an impact.
